PETAL WATERMARBLING

I've guess I'm your typical girl, who likes girly things.  Pink and White have to be my favorite colors, I love clothes, and I love to paint my nails.  I didn't do it as much until about over a year ago when I got into nailart and discovered a whole community of ladies who love everything nails like I do.  My main thing was freehand, but then I discovered this thing called watermarbling.  My first time seeing it was this petal pattern, and I knew I wanted to learn to do that.  I tried, tried, and tried some more, and I think I even did some crying over it.  I just could not get it for the life of me.  I tried using Spring water, bottle water, and tap water.  NOTHING worked.  The frustration, frustration everywhere.  I even texted my friend about using my own pee :)

In time I learned how and what makes the polish spread and behave the way I want it.
This is the design that I always wanted to do.  Now that I've mastered this one I hardly ever do it much anymore.  I guess lots of people love this one too and it is used way too many times.  But when they come out this good I kick myself for not doing it more.

A closer look and you can see the shimmers in the polishes.
These polishes are a must if you are like me who want to watermarble.

I'll share my tips and tricks from my many trials and errors in a future post.

If you want to see how this was done check IG for a really short version
for you can watch it on YouTube on the whole process.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great one.

FLORAL/PETAL WATERMARBLING

Petal/Floral Watermarble

Watermarbling a technique that  every nail artist wants to master.  It is a tricky little creature that has to be tamed every time.  Your water and polishes have to be the room temperature and you can be in any drafty places (learned that first hand).  My nail station is under a vent so when the AC or Heater kicks in my WM goes south.  So basically when I'm WM I'm either extremely hot or extremely cold.  In TX we never know what kind of weather we are getting.

There are so many techniques to WM and this happens to be the most liked and most desired to accomplished.
It is a little time consuming but the results are so rewarding.  It's like you accomplished something that not many people can do.

RADIAL GRADIENT SWIRL WATERMARBLING

Good afternoon, today I'll be showing you my  newest creations.  For almost a year now I've been doing a watermarbling challenge.  It is called watermarblepracticewednesday, as you can guess it is on Wednesday thatwe post our pics.  For today's challenge the prompt was gradient base, so I decided to go with a radial gradient.  To add some spice to it I did a swirl marbling on top.
As you can see it came out so beautifully.  I had to redo my pointer a few times because I somehow got a lot of black in the water.  There's always one finger to give you trouble right, way to keep interesting.
Here's a closer look
Seriously how gorgeous this!

Polishes for the gradient were 'Hula Hula' 'Hibiscus' 'Pacificus' http://www.etsy.com/shop/ShannonsNailCandy
For the watermarbling 'Oil Slick' Salon Perfect, 'Super Star' Pureice (I used this also for my white base) and 'Clear Water' http://www.pipedreampolish.com/

COFFEE WATERMARBLE

Watermarbling is one technique a nail artist wants to mastered.  It requires lots of patience and practices.  Once it is mastered, it a thing of beauty.
I am not a coffee drinker, but how cute is this look to match your morning cappuccinos.
This look was achieved using 'Expresso Yourself' from Loaded Lacquer.
Watermarbled with a white polish called 'Super Star' by Pureice, and a clear polish specifically made for watermarbling called 'Clear Water' by Pipedream Polish
and the cute charm is from Polishedvino
Check how this process was done here.
